Banking Benjamins
Rules

Bank your Benjamins before they are stolen!

Quick Facts:

2 - 4 Players

5 minutes

Strategy Game

Objective: Be the player with the highest value of cards each round!

Build $100s, bank them before they're stolen, finish with the most cash.

2. Set Up

Shuffle the $2 cards into the deck. Deal 5 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face down as the Draw Deck.

3. How to Play

1. Goal

Each player has a Hand (cards you hold) and a Bank (your Benjamins). Benjamins in your Bank are either exposed and can be stolen, or locked and cannot be stolen.

Example Board:

On your turn:

1. Play as many moves as you can or want, using cards from your Hand and/or Discard Row. You may also add cards to Benjamins already in your Bank.

Important: Take as many cards from the Discard Row as you want, but they must be played immediately.

2. Discard one card face up into the Discard Row, where all discarded cards remain visible.

3. Draw until you have 5 cards. Your turn is then over.

4. Building Benjamins

Build a Benjamin by playing any combination of cards that adds up to exactly $100. For example:

Place each new Benjamin face up in your Bank. Keep each Benjamin in a separate pile. Big Bens and Grant Slams start exposed.

Note: A Mixed Benjamin is automatically locked and cannot be stolen.

5. Steal

Only exposed Benjamins on another player’s Bank can be stolen: $1 steals a Big Ben and $5 steals a Grant Slam.

Move the stolen Benjamin and your $1 or $5 into your Bank. It stays exposed and can be stolen again.

A Benjamin can only be stolen twice. After the second steal, it is locked and cannot be stolen again.

Have another matching $1 or $5 available? Play it immediately to lock the Benjamin.

6. Lock Down Benjamins

Lock your Benjamins so they cannot be stolen. There are three ways to lock a Benjamin:

Big Ben: Add two $1s

Grant Slam: Add two $5s

Mixed Benjamin: Automatically locked when built.

Once locked, a Benjamin cannot be stolen.

7. Block with a $2

Someone stealing your Benjamin? Immediately play a $2 from your Hand to Block the steal.

Keep your Benjamin and the attacker’s $1 or $5. Add your $2 to the Benjamin. It is now locked and cannot be stolen.

This is the only time you may play a card when it is not your turn.

8. More Money!

Play every card in your Hand before discarding? More Money! Draw 5 new cards and continue your turn. You can earn More Money more than once in a turn. Your turn ends when you discard.

9. Final Round - Cash Out

When the last card is drawn from the Deck, finish the current turn.

Then every player—including the player who drew the last card—gets one final turn.

10. Scoring

After the Cash Out round, count all Benjamins in your Bank. Both exposed and locked Benjamins score. The player with the most Benjamins wins! TIE? Add the extra $1s, $2s and $5s attached to your Benjamins. Highest total wins.

Wild Cards (Optional)

Add the Pyramid and Eagle as wild cards. Either may be played as any denomination: $100 • $50 • $20 • $10 • $5 • $2 • $1
